In re Florida Cement and Concrete Products Antitrust Litigation

Labaton Sucharow LLP serves as Co-Lead Counsel in this lawsuit filed on behalf of a proposed class of Plaintiffs who purchased Portland Cement or Ready-Mixed Concrete in Florida directly from Defendants, the largest producers of these products.

Plaintiffs allege that, between January 1, 2000 and the present, Defendants participated in a conspiracy to illegally fix the prices of and allocate the market for Portland Cement and Ready-Mixed Concrete sold in the State of Florida. Portland Cement is the primary ingredient in concrete, and Ready-Mixed Concrete is used in a large number of construction projects. The case is pending before the Honorable Cecilia M. Altonaga in the Southern District of Florida.

Labaton Sucharow conducted an extensive independent investigation of anticompetitive conduct in the Florida Cement and Concrete markets prior to filing this lawsuit. The complaint details the specific employees who participated in the conspiracy as well as the locations at which illegal pricing was discussed.
